You've planned the wedding of your dreams and now you want to take a much needed vacation. Where should you go? St. Lucia is a beautiful island located in the southern Caribbean where the islanders are welcoming and the weather is warm. Taking your honeymoon at Sandals St. Lucia will be just the rest and relaxation that you need.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Know-how
  • Passports
  1. Step 1

Sandals resorts are known for their luxurious and romantic ambiance. There are three Sandals resorts on St. Lucia: Sandals Regency La Toc, Sandals Grande and Sandals Halcyon Beach. When you stay at a Sandals resort you have access to all their resorts on that island. That means that you can swim at twelve pools, lounge on three beaches and dine at fifteen gourmet restaurants. Deciding where to stay might be a difficult decision so here's a guide from personal experience:

Regency La Toc: The regency boasts the largest pool on the island and is equipped with a swim-up bar, complimentary nine-hole golf, seven restaurants, stunning ocean bluff suites, and a very active night life.

Grande: The Grande is set on its own peninsula and the ocean view is magnificent, most rooms have water views, swim up rooms are available and the resort is within walking distance of the historic Fort Rodney. The restaurants at the Grande are second to none.

Halcyon Beach: The Halcyon is the most laid-back resort on the island. The architecture is classic Caribbean and is the home of the famous Pier Restaurant. The resort has two pools with swim up bars and 3 whirlpools.

Each resort offers the Red Lane Signature Spa, free airport transfers and an on staff nurse.

  2. Step 2

Wait to book until there is a sale. Sandals offers 55% off multiple times a year. This will save you a large amount of money. Waiting for one of these sales will save you thousands of dollars even if you book the lowest level room.

  3. Step 3

Decide when you want to go. It is going to be less expensive in the off season (October-March). Many couples are delaying their honeymoon to replenish their bank accounts before traveling. If you aren't getting married during the off season and are looking to save money this may be an option.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget to get your passport at least three months before your travel date to ensure that it arrives before your departure.
  • Don't leave the day after your wedding. You will be exhausted. Give yourself at least a day of rest before travel.
  • Don't hesitate to call a booking representative to answer your questions.
  • Don't book any honeymoon without fully researching the location and benefits.
