Prior to your interview look up the companies website if they have one, bookmark it and study it inside and out. This is so important! It will impress!!! Most employers will ask "what do you know about the company?" take notes on dates, names, events, fund raising activities, or community interactions. If they dont have a website you can do a internet search on the company. If its a very small privately owned business ask if they have a brochure you can take home prior to your interview. Think of ways that you can promote the business in the community and give an example the employer. write down about 5 questions and bring them with to the interview.

be prepared for the tough questions that you may be asked like: "tell me about yourself", "why do you want to work for us", "what can you add to our company", "what are your strengths, and weaknesses" A really tough one might be "tell of an instance when you handled a situation poorly, and what was the outcome". Be prepared for stuff like this, but dont work yourself up too much either, just be aware you might get questions like this thrown at you.

Dont be nervous! (easier said than done) take some deep breaths and arrive 30 minutes early. This way you will have 15 minutes ( in your vehicle) to take some deep breaths, Glance over your notes, and Pep yourself up, or cool yourself down (whichever you may require)

If you smoke, DONT- before the interview because the smell will be there and it really will knock you right out of the picture if the hiring person doesnt like the smell of cigarettes. Washing your hands or brushing your teeth wont cut it this time. Sorry smokers if you want the Job you will have to suck up the nerves a different way this time.

Let the interviewer , or secretary know you are there about 15 min before you appointment, this is a good safe time (not too early). Go to the restroom and check yourself for superficial stuff that could go against your first impression (boogers in your nose, clean ears and eyes, fingernails, hair, popping a mint wont hurt either). This stuff may seem picky but its pretty important.

When the interviewer greets you SMILE! look them in the eyes and give a medium to firm handshake. Remember what you can from your notes on the company, relax. When the interview is complete, look the interviewer in the eyes shake their hand again and thank them for the interview (smile) repeat their name (MR, or MRS _____); It also would be beneficial to say a goodbye or give an exiting handshake to any other employees that you were introduced to. Hope this Helps!
      PEACE and go get'em!
