How to Make Kiwi Melon Sangria
Kiwi melon sangria is a sweet and light drink that is ideal for serving at parties and gatherings during the warm summer months. With its tropical fruit flavor and melon liqueur accent, this sangria is a new twist on an old favorite. Kiwi melon sangria is white sangria, meaning it is made with white wine. Dry white wine is best to use with sweet fruits such as kiwi and melon so that the drink is not overly sweet. Dry Reisling wine is a good choice for kiwi melon sangria, but any dry white wine can be used. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 1/2 oz. melon liqueur
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Small bowl
- Knife
- 1 lime
- Watermelon
- Kiwi
- Spoon
- Pitcher
- Ice
- 750 ml dry white wine

Pour the melon liqueur and sugar into a small bowl and place it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or until the sugar melts. Swirl it around in the bowl as needed to dissolve the sugar. Set the mixture aside to cool.

Cut the lime into 1/8-inch thick slices.

Cut two 1-inch slices from the watermelon. Cut each round into quarters.

Remove the rind and seeds from each quarter of watermelon. Cut the quarters into 1-inch pieces to make 1 cup of watermelon chunks.

Slice the ends off the kiwis to expose the green fruit. Press the spoon all the way into the fruit as close to the skin as possible. Run the spoon around the inside of the kiwi and scoop out the kiwi fruit and remove the skin. Slice the kiwi into 1/2-inch rounds.

Pour the wine and melon liqueur mixture into the pitcher and add the limes, watermelon and kiwi to it. Stir it well to combine the ingredients; be careful not to bruise the fruit. Add ice to the pitcher just before serving, or serve over ice in glasses.

Tips & Warnings
Keep the unused sangria refrigerated for up to four days before discarding.
