1. First we must define what Twitter is and what it is not. 2. There are some rules though that you will want to follow to get the most from Twitter especially if you are planning on growing your business. the very first tip is to connect first. It is true you will see people advertising on Twitter what they have, but avoid that. You want to make a connection with people so they will follow you and in turn you can follow them.

3. The second tip is make sure if you see something you like or some valuable information you tell the person about it or retweet it. Retweet it is basically put the same information up again, but acknowledging the person who sent it your way. This will grow your following very quickly.

4. The third tip is to be active in the community. Ask questions, post things, but most of all be very active. You will find the most active people do the best on Twitter.

5. In closing do not try to sell first on Twitter make a connection and get to know people. As you make more connections and bond with people they will ask what you are doing and then you can do a soft sell. Twitter is growing very quickly so get in now and become part of that growth.
