Things You'll Need:
- 1 Paper Plate
- Construction Paper
- Black Pipe Cleaners
- 2 Pom-Poms or Cotton Balls
- Crayons
- White Glue
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Wire Cutters
-
Step 1
Fold the paper plate in half and staple along the edge, leaving about 4 inches along the top open for filling. This makes the bunny’s body. Cut a basket handle out of the construction paper measuring about 1 inch wide and 12 inches long.
-
Step 2
Use the construction paper to cut out the bunny’s ears. You can choose just pink or white and pink and layer them. Glue both the ears and the basket handle on.
-
Step 3
Cut the pipe cleaner into 3 equal pieces about 4 inches long. These make up the whiskers. Glue the whiskers onto the bunny basket. Take the pom-pom or cotton ball and glue it onto the whiskers to make up the nose, and then glue one on the end to make up a puffy tail. Use crayons or markers to make up the bunny’s eyes and any other decoration you may want.
-
Step 4
Fill the Easter bunny basket with grass and treats. Filling the bunny basket is the best part. You can fill it with grass and add jelly beans, candied eggs, chocolate candy or anything else your child wants. It also makes a great basket for any cards your child may have gotten or even for Easter eggs they hunted in your yard.
