How to Encrypt a USB Drive
Would you like to encrypt your USB drive? With Remora USB Disk Guard you can use 128-bit Blowfish encryption on your USB drive files. It's actually not that difficult. Just follow the instructions located in this article.

- A download of Remora USB Disk Guard
- Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista

First download Remora USB Disk Guard. If you don't know where to download it, then click on the resource link at the end of this article and search for "Remora" on the corresponding web site. You can download a free version there.

Create a directory on your USB drive. Then copy the Remora download into the directory.

Extract the files into the directory on your USB drive and run usbdiskguard.exe.

Everything in the folder that you select will become encrypted. However, if you copy additional files to the same folder in the future they will not be automatically encrypted. In order to encrypt the new files, you will have to run Remora USB Disk Guard again.
