This is an article about starting an indoor garden from scratch using flower seeds and potting soil.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Fill the flower pot with the potting soil just about to the rim of thee pot. About 1/6" from the top of the pot fill the pot with seeds from the flower pack seed purchased from the department store.

  2. Step 2

Do not pack the soil and do not over water at this point. Make sure the soil is damp with a little sprinkling on water. Dependent upon the flower seeds you select, follow the direction on package.

  3. Step 3

As there is no weather inside of a building, you do not have to wait for a certain time or season. Once the plant sprout, continue to care for it with by watering it when the soil looks dry. Once the plant looks like the package, then you may transplant the flower following the instructions on the back of the package.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that the pot has a way to drain the water so that mold will not grow there and the roots will be equally watered and drained. Seedlings don't need a lot of sunlight but once grown should get moderate sunlight.
  • Do not over water the plant and do not drown the seeds in water because the seeds need a solid place of soil to grow roots.
