Step 1
By purchasing a Sunday paper, usually costing about $1.50, you can find coupons for a majority of products used in the home, from food to cleansers and everything in between! The savings from coupons can be increased by purchasing from a grocery store that offers double coupons (usually up to a dollar). This means that a coupon that is for a dollar off an item, it would be two dollars off. The savings you can make using coupons will cover the cost of a Sunday paper in no time!

Step 2
Buy store brand or generic products if you don't have a coupon for the name brand. Store brand or generic products can reduce the cost of an item, while keeping with the same quality, as most generic brands are from the same supplier. Be sure to compare the cost of buying generic or name brand products. Sometimes an individual can save more money by buying name brand with a coupon!

Step 3
Most of the time, meat will not have a coupon available, but there is still a way to save money when buying! Most stores will discount meat that is nearing its expiration date, this meat will still be fresh enough to eat as long as its sell by date is still good. Discounted meat can be frozen and saved for a later date. Most discounted meat is for up to half off of the original cost, the only down side is that the selection is usually slim.
