Boiled Cookies strange name but an amazing cookie they are quick and easy and fun to make with your kids.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 1/2 Cup Margarine or Butter
  • 3 Cups Instant Cook Oats
  • 1 Cup Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • Wax Paper
  • 1 Mixing Spoon
  • 1 Medium Pot
  • Two Small Spoons
  1. Step 1

    Lay out sheets of wax paper to put your finished mix on this must be done before hand because your mix will set up quickly once done.

  2. Step 2

    In medium pot add 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup butter

  3. Step 3

    Melt butter slightly before adding sugar and cocoa to avoid clumping.

  4. Step 4

    On low heat bring your mixture of milk, butter, sugar and cocoa to a boil.

  5. Step 5

    Boil for one minute

  6. Step 6

    Add 3 cups instant cook oats and cook for another minute while stirring constantly.

  7. Step 7

    Remove from heat.

  8. Step 8

    Add peanut butter and mix well.

  9. Step 9

    Using your two spoons drop the mixture by teaspoonful onto your wax paper. Use one spoon to scoop while using the other spoon to push the cookie mix onto the wax paper.

  10. Step 10

    Let stand until cooled before eating when they are done but still a little warm they taste great that way as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • Put out wax paper before starting so it is ready when your mixture is done.
  • When putting your mixture onto the wax paper use two spoons one to scoop and one to push the cook off the other spoon, DO NOT USE YOUR FINGERS the mixture is really hot and will burn your skin and it is unsanitary to touch all of them.
