Instructions

    • 1

Strip the wiring. Cut any electrical cords and remove light bulbs from an old or inexpensive new candelabra chandelier.

    • 2

Clean the chandelier with a damp rag to remove any dirt or dust.

    • 3

Spray paint the chandelier white or gold--traditional wedding colors. Dry according to paint instructions.

    • 4

Place a strong adhesive or glass-friendly glue on the base of the pedestals and on the bottom of the glass candles. Attach as directed by adhesive instructions.

    • 5

Attach a chain or rope to the top of the chandelier for easy hanging. Spray paint te chain or rope if necessary.

Tips & Warnings

  • Decorate the chandelier with artificial flowers and greenery. Flowers and greenery can also be used to camouflage the hanging chain or rope.

  • Scour second-hand, charity and lighting repair stores for old chandeliers.

  • Check discount lighting stores for bargain chandeliers that can be stripped and converted to a candle-lit chandelier.

  • Candles must be securely attached to the chandelier to prevent fire and accidents.

  • Use fireproof artificial flowers and greenery if possible and do not place them close to the candles and open flames.
