Things You'll Need:
- Lemon Juice
- Baking Soda
- Vinegar
-
Step 1
Depending on your level of hard water deposits, stains, rust, scuffs and drain smell, use one of the following:
Lemon Juice
OR
Baking Soda
OR
Distilled Vinegar
You should be able to get all items at your local store. Lemon Juice is usually found in the juice isle. Vinegar and Baking soda in the baking isle. -
Step 2
For keeping a disinfected sink that has a fresh smelling drain and no hard water deposits, drizzle lemon juice over the fixtures, around the edges and around the drain. Let it stand for about 15 minutes and then rinse it down. Use a scrubber to loosen hard water deposits.
For scuffs and tougher stains, mix baking soda with water and make a paste. Scour tough stains out, then rinse.
For a sink that has rust stains or needs a good deep cleaning, fill the basin with water and a third of a gallon of distilled vinegar. -
Step 3
Repeat as needed. I suggest lemon juice throughout the week, baking soda when you have scuffs and vinegar occasionally during spring cleaning.
