Things You'll Need:

  • 48oz of frozen hash browned potatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Cans Cheese Soup
  • 2 1/2 Cups Grated Cheddar Cheese

  • 2 Cups Sour Cream

  • 1 9x13 pan

  1. Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Butter your 9x13 pan to save on time.

  3. Step 3

Mix the 2 cans of cheese soup, 2 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese, 1 cup chopped green onions and 2 cups sour cream together in your large mixing bowl.

  4. Step 4

Now would be a good time to add black pepper or your favorite spice to add a little more flavor. I like to add garlic powder and black pepper.

  5. Step 5

Flake partially thawed potatoes into the mix stirring in small amounts at a time. Stirring in small amounts at a time will help keep your arm from getting tired and your mix spilling all over the place.

  6. Step 6

Once all of the 48oz of hash browns potatoes put the entire mix into your already buttered 9x13 pan.

  7. Step 7

Place pan into oven for 45 minutes.

  8. Step 8

The edges and top of your potatoes will be golden brown when done.

  9. Step 9

Remove from oven let cool for a short period of time and serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • The cheese soup can be substituted with cream of chicken soup, cream of jalapeno soup, or mix one can jalapeno soup with one can cheese soup to spice things up a little.
  • You can substitute cheddar cheese with Mexican 4 Cheese.
  • It is best to get already grated cheese as a time saver.
  • The pan will be hot when removing from the oven so please use pot holders to avoid burning yourself.
  • Place hot pan on a safe surface away from children's reach.
