Things You'll Need:
- Time for interviews
-
Step 1
You can find wedding planners by asking friends and family if they could recommend someone or search through the many online wedding directories. You may be able to find website of some of them to look through to see if they will fit your needs.
-
Step 2
Narrow it down to no more than 3 and start interviewing. Ask these questions along with anything else that is important to you and your wedding
Are you licensed and insured?
How do you charge for your services?
Do you have a replacement that will take over if you are unable to?
How many weddings have you handled in the past?
Have you done weddings similar to what I want? -
Step 3
Establish a price in advance and get everything in writing. You can look at sample wedding planner contracts beforehand to decide what all you should include in yours.
-
Step 4
Check with the better business bureau and vendors to make sure the planner has a good record. Also see if you can peek in on one of their events. See how well they are handling everything. Remember this could be your wedding.
Once you've found your planner relax and go dress shopping, the rest of the details will be taken care of.

on 5/19/2009 This is the webstie our planner reccomended, he showed us a bunch of homes off http://www.MalibuLuxuryBeachHouseforRent.com. We now recommend the service to all our friends ( along with the wedding planner). Those two weeks we spent there were some of the most memorable of our life and a great start to our marriage. It’s also a great place to keep your relatives cozy. trust me, arrive by boat...they’ll be entertained and sure to stay out of your hair.
