Some may believe that there is absolutely no difference between contact lenses, however, this is an untruth. There are variations in the way that they are made and what they do. Here are some tips to be certain that you are getting the proper contact lenses for your eyes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
Know Your Eyes Prior To Purchasing
Know Your Eyes Prior To Purchasing

The first thing that you should do upon choosing the proper contact lenses for your eyes is determine what type of eyes you have. Are your eyes dry and itchy? Are they consistently tired and red? These question point out what type of contact lenses one needs. In this case, a oxygenized, moistened contact such as O2Optics and even Proclear are brands that may be suitable for you.

  2. Step 2

The second thing that you should find out about your eyes is if you have an astigmatism. This basically means that the light that enters your eye falls in two different ways instead of one. If you have an astigmatism, Acuvue Advance with Astigmatism is a great contact to use. This contact lense also has hydroclear that keeps your eyes moistened. Also, you may want to steer away from colored contacts with astigmatism because they tend to slide around much more than clear contacts, thus, causing visual changes in eyesight.

  3. Step 3

Finally for those of you with very sensitive eyes with a high prescription, sometimes at this point, specialized contact lenses or rigid contacts are for you. This would of course have to be taken up with your physician as your vision is outside of the precut range.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always consult with your physician about the choice contacts for you to be on the safe side.
