This is Me with my New Free Haircut, Dig it!

This article is about how to get a free haircut in Los Angeles and/or become a hair model and/or pick up hairdresser.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • internet connection, social and interpersonal skills, perfume, and deodorant
  1. Step 1

Log into craigslist, Los Angeles site. (craigslist.org)

  2. Step 2

Click on the link that says, "free."

  3. Step 3

Eyeball the listings for haircuts or enter "haircut" into the search term. Ensure that you limit the search to the free section or you will end up with listings for paid haircuts. And nobody wants that.

  4. Step 4

There will be several ads for free haircuts. Respond with a kind reply, a current photo, and a promise to market their salon at your current place of work.

  5. Step 5

Once the stylist responds, show up on time and keep an open mind. If you happened to win at the horse races that week, you might even want to leave a tip (10-15% of what they normally charge.)

  6. Step 6

Other advanced techniques: a)Flirt with every hairstylist who fixes your hair. They can't all be gay! Surely one wants to touch your butt! Come on! b) Search for hair show listings on modeling and casting sites. You too can be paid to change your hair style if you are willing to serve as a hair model.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep promoting the salon and you might receive even more free haircuts depending on the number of people who stop in and pay for that designer haircut.
  • Keep in mind that some stylists are very gifted artists. Do not be thrown off by personalities, temperaments or creative ideas. You might be pleasantly surprised with the result.
  • Try to meet the stylist at a salon and not a van, a mobile location or his/her house. This person might be crazy and just have something weird regarding hair going on there. And he/she might not be a stylist or cosmetologist at all and just want to mess around with your hair and keep it in little bags or something at their house. Or he/she might taser you.
  • If you work in an office, let the stylist know that in advance. If you have been selected for a specialty look that requires shaving half of your head and dying the rest bright orange, then it might be awkward returning to the office on Monday.
