  • pencil or suitable marking utensil
  • level

Use 2 inch self tapping wood lag bolts to attach the mounting bracket to the wall into the studs using all the mounting holes to assure a secure mount. There's no overkill here, you don't want your tv to fall on the ground

  4. Step 4

Most brackets will have a second half to them that you will now install on the tv. Usually it is 2 or 4 fine thread screws depending on the size of the bracket.

  5. Step 5

Once the second half of the bracket is mounted to the tv you can now hang the tv on the bracket that you mounted on the wall. It helps to have an assistant to lift the tv and watch to align it to the bracket. It should just hook over the bracket on the wall and hang there but don't try to pick up on it just yet.

  6. Step 6

Now that the tv is hanging on the wall bracket you can secure it by tightening the locking screws linking the tv bracket and the wall bracket.
