Step 1
A sudden Heart Attack is something that most Americans don't expect. Many times it is difficult to stay calm and composed when something like this happens. There are things that you can do in order to avoid serious heart damage if you think you may be having a Heart Attack.

Step 2
You should always keep aspirin in the home. If you suspect you or a loved one is having a Heart Attack then you should take at least two full strength aspirins immediately. In addition, as difficult as it may be, try and remain calm. Make sure you call 911. If you are alone don't attempt to drive yourself to the Hospital. If you attempt to drive yourself to the Hospital this could prove to cause additional harm to yourself and other drivers on the road.

Step 3
It has bben known for many years that Aspirin thins the blood. This is the reason why it may be helpful during a Heart Attack. Aspirin will help the blood to flow more freely throughout the entire body. It may also be wise to take an Aspirin a day even if you have no risk factors for a Heart Attack. In addition, it would be a good idea to have annual blood tests and an EKG.
