March is National Craft Month. There is really no better time to let your artistic talent shine. Depending on your level of expertise, there are many ways to celebrate this 31 day period. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

Things You'll Need:

    Sew for a Good Cause

Sew for charity. If you love to sew, there are many projects you can take on that will be of great benefit to others. Whether you decide to make baby quilts for young mothers or items of clothing for disaster victims, your handmade donations will be graciously appreciated.

  2. Step 2
    Teach a Craft Class

    Teach a Craft Class

Teach a craft class. Share your artistic talent with others. Contact your local school district, library, retirement home or community church and ask them if they would be interested in you teaching a class to their members. All of these organizations welcome the help of volunteers, some may even will willing to compensate you for your time.

  3. Step 3
    Learn a New Craft

Learn a new craft. Is there a specific crafting technique that you want to learn but can never seem to find the time to attempt it? Take advantage of the many discounts offered, during National Craft Month, to expand your artistic horizons.

  4. Step 4
    Start Holiday Projects

    Start Holiday Projects

Start any holiday projects you have on your list. It is a well-known fact that most people prefer a handcrafted gift over a store bought one. They are SO much more personal.

This is also an excellent time to start crafting your own holiday ornaments and decorations, as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • If knitting or crocheting is more your style, you can easily make afghans, mittens, hats and even socks, for the needy.
