Brighten Someone's Day (With A Penny)

Do you feel the need to cheer someone up? Well you can quickly and easily and it will only cost you a penny. Follow my steps and you will be spreading sunshine in no time.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Penny
  1. Step 1

First you will need a penny. Any old penny will do but the best ones are the ones you find on the ground. Now the penny superstition states that you should only pick penny's off the ground that are head up. If you get one tails up you will achieve the opposite effect of what we are going for, or so the legend goes. So to recap heads up equals good, tails up equals bad.

  2. Step 2

Next you will need to find a person who looks like they could use a little cheering up.

  3. Step 3

Approach the person and recite this line. "Find a penny, pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck. Give it to a special friend, and they'll be yours until the end.". Now present them with the penny. Congratulations you just made someone's day!

Tips & Warnings
  • Find the penny on the ground in the presence of the person and then do step 3 for maximum effect.

on 3/10/2009 Cute - haven't done this since grade school. Hey, it makes a great pick-up line, too!
