Nothing beats the taste of homemade, especially when it comes to ranch dressing. Mmmm... ranch dressing. It goes great with just about everything. It is the ever popular veggie dip, you can use it instead of mayo on burgers, dip your fries in it, and, of course, dress a salad. Here's my quick and easy recipe, no expensive flavoring packet required. (Note: the leftover buttermilk is a great marinade for chicken, so no wasting!)

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • salt and pepper
  1. Step 1

Combine the sour cream, garlic and onion powder, parsley flakes, a pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir to combine.

  2. Step 2

Begin adding the buttermilk, a little at a time, whisking as you go, until the mixture reaches the desired consistency for dressing or dip.

  3. Step 3

Do the taste test. Add salt or pepper as needed.

  4. Step 4

Pour dressing or dip into a jar or plastic container and seal. Refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
