Step 1
Knitting is a relaxing hobbyFirst, look around your home. What have you already tried in the past? Do you have anything onhand that you wouldn't mind giving another try? This is a good time to clean out and remind yourself of who you used to be, who you are, and who you want to be. You can tell a lot about a person from their hobbies.

Step 2
Hunting is an exciting hobbyTalk to your friends. Be upfront and tell them that you're on a hunt for a new hobby. If they already have a hobby they enjoy, they can teach you and you can try it out a few times before you commit. If they've tried things you're considering and didn't like them, they can tell you about their negative experiences as well.

Step 3
Cooking classes are always educationalTake classes. Every single person has some kind of talent, and most are more than happy to teach their skills. Look in the phone book for ideas (dancing, pottery, gardening, etc.) and take a class or two in the hobbies that interest you.
-
Step 4
Love sports? Try sports photographyGet out of your comfort zone. If you already do things with your hands, try a more adventurous hobby. You don't have to go skydiving or swim with sharks, although those are both exciting activities. It could be as simple as joining a softball league, or playing paintball with your friends. On the same note, if you already have a number of physical hobbies, now may be the time to get in touch with your artistic side.

Step 5
A rockin' hobbyTry as much or as little as you want until you find something you truly enjoy. Who knows- maybe your next hobby will be trying out new hobbies!
