Things You'll Need:
- Flowers

Step 1
Often the simplest things will make your husband or wife very happy. For example taking out the trash, cleaning the house or other chores. Even doing something your spouse always asks you to do, but this time on your own, will show them you listen and care about them and their feelings.
-
Step 2
Make them something just for them, dinner, a birdhouse, a card. The more creative and the more unique the more they will probably like it. Everyone likes things that are just for them, especially if it comes directly from someone they love.
-
Step 3
Another way to show your love if you can afford it is buy something for your spouse just because. This detachment of presents from just holidays will show you care especially for them and aren't buying just because you are supposed to. Even though I tell my spouse not to waste money on flowers I still end up getting them once and a while and it makes me feel special and appreciated. Other things you could buy is possibly tickets to a show, or a trinket of some kind. Even something not very exciting that you know they have wanted but can't afford will most likely get a great reaction.
-
Step 4
Lastly the easiest way to make your spouse feel special is to tell them face to face. People take each other for granted, and telling them they are great is by far the quickest, easiest, cheapest, and most sincere way to show you love them and they're special.
