For just pennies you can make your own wrapping paper! It is so cute that people will not want to tear it or throw it away!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper Bags
  • Iron
  • Scissors
  • Sponges in Different Shapes
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Sharpie Pens
  • Bath Towel
  • Paper Plate
  • Paint Brushes

  1. Step 1

Heat your iron. Cut down the seam of the bag on one side and cut out the bottom of the bag. Put the bottoms of the bag aside for later.

  2. Step 2

Once you have your bags cut. Lay one of the bags flat on the ironing board and cover it with a bath towel. Steam the paper flat and leave it to dry for a few hours.

Now that you have stamped the paper you can take your sharpie and embellish. Glitter pens are very cool as well to make the stamps pop. Glue on Buttons, Feathers whatever you like.

  7. Step 7
    Jump Rope

Now you are ready to use your paper to wrap. This is a very fun project that will save loads on gift wrap. I have used all kinds of things rather than ribbon to tie the gift with. Colored shoe laces, raffia, gimp, yarn, artificial flower, a jump rope. Anything that goes with your theme. Use your imagination and have fun!

Tips & Warnings
  • The brighter the color the better on the brown paper.
  • I have noticed that yellow can tend to be kind of runny so I kind of steer clear of it.
  • Anything goes you do not have to be an artist.
  • Have your kids do this for a Christmas project.
  • Make up a stack of sheets and give them as a gift.
