Chicken can be great on it's own or as an ingredient in a number of dishes. Follow my steps to simple yet tasty chicken.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pack of Chicken
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Oven
  • Aluminum Foil
  1. Step 1

The first thing you will need is your chicken. I prefer breasts however this recipe will work for all of your favorite chicken parts. Once you have selected the your chicken you will need to trim the fat. Don't worry about getting every last piece of fat because fat also adds flavor. We just want to trim off the large chunks that will be chewy after cooking.

  2. Step 2

Pre-heat your oven to 400 Degrees. Next get out a baking sheet or oven safe glass dish. Next line your dish with aluminum foil. Place your chicken on the foil.

  3. Step 3

Coat the chicken with extra virgin olive oil. Make sure to rub the oil all over the chicken so it is well coated. You can now season the chicken with a little salt and pepper. Most of the flavor in this dish comes from the Italian seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning all of your chicken.

  4. Step 4

Next wrap up your tin foil and pinch closed, almost like a zip lock bag. We want the foil to have a little room at the top so don't wrap the chicken too tightly with the foil.

  5. Step 5

Lastly pop your dish into the oven for about 20 minutes. When done you will have delicious tender chicken for a meal or a base. I usually just serve with a little alfredo angel hair pasta. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Before removing from the foil cut open a chicken to make sure there is no pink inside, as cooking times may vary from oven to oven.
