Moose meat is excellent tasting, and makes excellent steaks, roasts ,hamburger and stews.
This stew is a staple in many Alaskan diets and is usually on the menu once a week. A good Alaskan red wine to drink completes the meal.
Enjoy!

on 4/26/2009 Oh, now that sounds wonderful! I would love a big bowl full of real alaskan moose stew! I have had Alaskan Bear jerky and that was awesome, I'll bet it tastes much like elk.

on 3/23/2009 Yeah, I'd try it. I said to myself that I wouldn't like venison until I tried venison stew. So I'm willing to make some Bullwinkle stew. "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a crock pot outta my hat!!" /*****
