Some heart attacks can be sudden and intense, but most heart attacks start slowly with mild pain and discomfort. Know how to detect the warning signs in order to respond quickly and properly.

  1. Step 1

    Warning signs for most heart attacks involve an uncomfortable pressure or pain in the center of the chest. Some may mistake this for indigestion which can very well be the case however, it’s always best to get to your nearest hospital right away if you detect these symptoms. It’s much better to be safe than sorry.

  2. Step 2

    Another warning sign for a heart attack can also include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach. Although some of these are also contributing factors of stress or anxiety, you must have yourself checked out right away.

  3. Step 3

    Heart attacks can include warning signs such shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort and may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness. If you’re asthmatic or fatigued, you may experience some of these symptoms but, don’t rule out the worst case scenario here.
