Things You'll Need:
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- an old rag big enough to cover the stain
-
Step 1
The first thing you will want to do is find a rag the size of the stain, If it is a large stain you can also take an old towel and use that, for a smaller stain cut the towel down to size, you don't want it much larger than the stain.
-
Step 2
Soak the rag in the peroxide, make sure that it is saturated.
Do not allow the rag to begin to dry. -
Step 3
Lay the rag over the stain and leave it there and let it dry, when you pick up the rag some of the urine should have soaked up into it, you may have to repeat this process several times to completely remove the stain, depending on how dark the stain is, it may just lighten it. Keep repeating until the stain is not visible anymore, this should not do any harm to your floor I have solid hard wood floors with a polyurethane finish and this has never removed any finish or harmed my floor in any way.

on 2/19/2009 Sounds like a good, useful way to remove pet stains from hardwood. I'll have to try it on my floors. I'm sure there'll be an opportunity before all that long...!
