Wash and Wax Your Car
Wash and Wax Your Car

Explains a step by step of washing and waxing your car.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To keep your car looking nice and keep the outside of your car looking new for as long as possible, wash and wax your car to protect the finish.

  2. Step 2

Your car or cars should get washed and waxed at least once a month if not more to keep the body paint nice and clean. In the summer time your car will get dusty and dirty, but the winter time your car gets snow, salt and sand everywhere and that should get washed off before it does damage to the body of your car. In the winter time you can go to the car wash and go through to get your car washed. Because in the cold weather, it would not be a good idea to wash your car outside yourself. Do this in the warm weather.

  3. Step 3

Here are the steps to wash your car. The car wash equipment you would need are a bucket for the warm water and soap, hose to wet the car down, Two rags or sponges to wash the car and apply the car wax to protect the finish and a couple of dry towels.

  4. Step 4

Before washing your car keep all the doors and windows shut. You go and fill the bucket half way with warm water and add some car wash soap. Then get the hose, turn it on and wet the car. It would be easier to wet the car first then wash it so the rag or sponge easily moves around. After the car is wet. Now take the sponge or rag and dip it into the bucket with soap and water and start to wash.

  5. Step 5

Going all around the whole car to get off all the dirt. After you have washed the car. Turn the hose on again and spray the car down to wash off the soap and dirt. After spraying the car to get the soap and dirt off. Get the dry towel and wipe off all the water. If you don't do this step you will get water marks on the car.

  6. Step 6

The next step is to wax your car, get 1 of the rags or sponges and the car wax. Dampen the rag or sponge with water so the car rag and wax can be applied easier. Apply some car wax to the rag or sponge and in a circular motion apply the wax starting at 1 end of the car, go all around the car until you get to where you started. The wax when dried will be powdery and easy to wipe off. When removing the dry wax, you may need to put a little pressure to get the dry wax off and any scuff marks.

  7. Step 7

When the wax has dried and all of it is powdery, you get the other dry towel and wipe off the wax.
