Things You'll Need:
- Computer with Internet Explorer
-
Step 1
Click on the word Favorites in the Internet Explorer toolbar. Click on Organize Favorites.
-
Step 2
Browse through your list of favorite websites. What general topics do you see reoccuring? Perhaps you have websites for paying monthly bills. What about online stores you shop at, favorite blogs, or recipes you want to try.
-
Step 3
Click New Folder. Give your new folder a name (monthly bills, online stores, favorite blogs, recipes, etc.).
-
Step 4
Once you have your folder made there are two ways of placing websites from your favorites menu into the folder. I think the easiest way is to click on the favorite you want to move and then click the Move button at the button of the window. Then simply click the folder you want to move it to and click OK. You can also click, hold, and drag the favorite into the new folder, but I've had trouble "losing" a favorite in a folder along the way so I stick with the first method.
-
Step 5
Now your favorite websites are organized and easy to find.
