Sink every putt from 10 feet and closer with this easy to follow instruction.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Patience
  • Putter
  • Golf ball
  1. Step 1

I am going to show you how you can be more consistent with putts 10 feet and under. Lets face it, anything over 10 feet from the cup, and all we try to do is get it close for a two putt. Maybe sometimes get lucky and sink one or two.

  2. Step 2

But from 10 feet in there's away to make it most of the time.
First of all take your normal stance and alignment to the hole. this is key to making putts. If you tend to miss putts left then align your stance alittle to the right. If your missing to right then align left.

  3. Step 3

The putter has a lot to do with alignment also so get yourself a good balanced putter. I like the Double Ball Putter from Odyssey.

  4. Step 4

SO now to the simple stroke that will give you the perfect distance every time. Line up at the ball, when you take the putter back ,take it straight back 1 inch for every 1 foot you have to the hole. If you have 4 feet to the hole then you take your putter head back 4 inches then start forward tempo is important.

  5. Step 5

Strike the ball moderately and follow thru lifting hands about waist high this give overs pin and allows the ball to roll more. If you are 10 feet from th ehole then backswing 10 inches and follow thru high. A little practice and you will be called the "ICE MAN or "ICE LADY"

Tips & Warnings
  • keep good alignment
  • keep smooth tempo thru stroke
  • Extremely Habit Forming
