Step 1
Find printable scrapbook pages and templates through site sections like the Explore and Create tab at HP.com, the Creative Zone at Epson or in the free downloads areas of websites like ScrapbookFlair. In addition to complete page templates, most sites offer free downloadable scrapbook embellishments and other digital scrapbook supplies to help capture your scrapbook memories.
-
Step 2
Download the printable scrapbook pages you want to use in your scrapbook album. Each website will provide specific instructions or simple click to download buttons for PCs or Macs to save the pages to your computer.
-
Step 3
Open the file to access the printable scrapbook pages or digital scrapbook supplies in a simple photo edition program like Adobe Photoshop Elements. Drag and drop the photos you wish to use to capture your scrapbook memories onto the page and type journaling into the appropriate section to describe the event, feelings or anecdotes relating to the photos.
-
Step 4
Opt to use the printable pages as part of your paper-based layouts by printing the template out without adding photos or journaling. You can then use photo tabs to affix original photos to the background, add scrapbook journaling in your own handwriting and even add dimensional scrapbook embellishments to the page like brads, chipboard pieces, ribbon and frames.
-
Step 5
Customize the printable scrapbook pages or the free scrapbook supplies like frames, die cuts and borders by printing them on textured or white-core cardstock. Use sandpaper to distress the edges, add shading with stamping ink or craft chalk or add dimension to flat scrapbook embellishments by affixing them with pop dots.
