Things You'll Need:
- 1-by-3 inch pine board, 50 inches long 1-by-2 inch pine board, 50 inches long 1 1/2 inch wooden knobs, three 5/16 inch diameter hanger bolts, 2 inches long, three 5/16 inch diameter barrel tee nuts, three Drill 5/16 inch drill bit 3/4 inch spade bit Two keyhole hangers Wood stain with polyurethane sealer Sponge brush Screwdriver Pliers Hammer

Step 1
Drill 5/16 inch holes in the 1-by-2 inch pine board, centered 5 1/2 inches from both ends and one 5/16 inch hole, centered at 25 inches from both ends of the 50-inch-long board.

Repeat Step 1 on the 1-by-3 inch pine board.

Drill into the 5/16-inch holes on one side of the 1-by-3 inch pine board using the 3/4-inch spade bit. Drill 1/4-inch deep. This will be the back.

Stain the front, back and ends of both boards. Completely stain the wood knobs. Allow the stain to dry thoroughly.

Insert the tee nuts with the prongs facing down into the 3/4-inch holes on the back of the 1-by-3 inch pine board. Tap the anchor points into the wood with the hammer.

Using the 5/16-inch drill bit, drill 1/2 inch into the center back of the knobs. Screw the pointed end of the hanger bolt into the knobs.

Turn the 1-by-3 inch pine board over to the back, and attach the keyhole hangers. Center 4 inches from the ends using the screwdriver.

Step 8
Place the 1-by-3 inch pine board right side up on a flat work surface. Center the 1-by-2 inch board on top of the 1-by-3 inch board. Insert the knobs into each drilled hole on top of the 1-by-2, and screw the hanging quilt rack together slightly.

Slip the top edge of the quilt between the 1-by-2 and the 1-by-3, along the quilt hanger's bottom edge. Tighten the wood knobs, pinching the quilt between the pine boards.

Hang the quilt hanger from the keyhole hardware on the back of the hanger.
