Step 1
Create a short survey for your Web page. CoolSurveys.com, for example, has a short membership-free survey generator that can be used for simple surveys. After going to the site, scroll down to where it says,"Create your CoolSurvey using our polling and survey tools! Click Here Now!" The next page is the survey generator. This survey, which consists of one question and up to six possible answer fields, only requires you to submit information in order to return to the survey to make any changes.
First choose the size you want your survey to be, whether wide or compact. Next choose your style, and then decide what your survey will be used for. Afterward move on to the next part of the generator to the section where it asks for a Unique Survey Identifier, name, email address and modification password. This in no way means you're a member of the website--only that if you decide to make changes later, you'll be able to log back into that particular survey to do so.
Finally, scroll down to where you can type in the question you want to ask, followed by the possible answers to it. Click "Submit your Survey." The following window will carry you to the various choices of code to use when embedding it into your Web page. -
Step 2
Create a long survey for your Web page. At SurveyMonkey.com (see Resources), users can create surveys of up to 10 questions for free. Surveys can be saved at the site under your account. The site also has 15 prebuilt themes and options to customize themes or upgrade your account. You can select up to 20 different types of questions and create the survey in any language.
Another free site to consider is Freesurveys.com (see Resources). This site allows up to 20 questions and up to 50 responses per survey. The only bad thing about this survey system is that it only holds records up to 10 days. -
Step 3
Design the survey from code yourself. At The PCman Website (see Resources), users can create their own surveys manually. With each area clearly marked, users follow the directions to create a survey in minutes. You can also generate your survey or reset the entire application. This online tool does not require membership.
