    • 2

Select the button that says "I'll be careful, I promise." This brings up a table of data. The left-hand column is labeled "Preferences" and the far right-hand column is labeled "Value."

    • 3

Scroll down to the entry in the "Preferences" column entitled "network.http.pipelining" and change its entry in the "Value" column to "true."

    • 4

Find the entry in the Preferences column entitled "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" and change its entry in the Value column to "40."

    • 5

Find the entry in the Preferences column entitled "network.http.proxy.pipelining" and change its entry in the Value column to "true."

    • 6

Close this page of Firefox by clicking the "X" in the upper right-hand corner.

    • 7

Close any other pages of Firefox that are running on your computer, and then restart the program in order for the changes to take effect. You should notice a faster response time after you restart Firefox.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't change anything else in your about:config screen. Doing so could cause Firefox to stop working properly or even stop working altogether.

The network.http.pipelining is hard coded to 8 max for the upper limit so setting it to 40 will still have the preference work at 8 max anyways.
