Everyone likes their music to be portable, but taking multiple CDs with you to listen to only a few select songs can be tiresome. The ideal answer to that dilemma is to make a CD of just the songs you want to hear. Limewire, a music sharing program, is a great source for music of all kinds. With Limewire you can download popular or rare songs and transfer them to a CD to enjoy at home or on the go.

      Open Limewire, and search audio files to find the music you wish to burn to a CD.

      Download the songs from Limewire to your computer. In your Limewire preferences, be sure to note what file on your computer the songs will be saved to.

      Once all of your choices have been downloaded, insert a blank disc into your CD burner.

      Open your media player, such as Windows Media Player or iTunes. Click on "Burn."

      Create a play list by dragging files from your Limewire saved music over to the burn list in your media player. Once your list is complete, click "Burn." When the CD is complete, eject and label it.

  • CD labels can be purchased and then designed in most media players.

  • Limewire can be used for personal use only. Selling any CDs with music you have downloaded from Limewire is copyright infringement and punishable by law.
