How to Sew a Sheep Costume
Using an old pair of sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt as a pattern, you can make a fleecy sheep costume in any size from infant to adult. Because the costume is meant to be fluffy rather than fitted, precise sizing is not necessary. Depending on your level of sewing expertise, you can make the costume in as little as a few hours.

Cut apart the old pants and sweatshirt on the seams. Mark pant pieces as front and back, and sweatshirt pieces as front, back, hood and sleeves. Pull or cut elastic out of the pants waistband. Snip wedges in the sweatshirt wrist and waist ribbing until the fabric is no longer gathered.

Lay the pattern pieces on the fleece, making sure all pieces face the same direction. Pin these pieces to the fleece. Cut out the fleece pieces, allowing ½ inch all around to make the fleece pieces slightly bigger than the pattern pieces.
