How to Obtain a Passport in Nigeria Africa
Since 2007, the Nigerian Immigration Service has promulgated the use of e-passports to prevent passport fraud and long queues in the processing centers. Machine-readable passports remain in effect only until 2010. Passport processing in Nigeria can now be made through an online system including payment of fees. Appointments for picture capture and submission of relevant documents are generated electronically as well. When a schedule is missed, another date can be set through the online system. With duly accomplished forms and payment, Nigerian passports are available for pickup within 4 days.
