How to Make Ninja Masks
Making ninja masks can be a fun activity for kids, teenagers and even adults. It is very simple to do and doesn't require any cutting or sewing. All you need is a solid-colored t-shirt, preferably long sleeve, for each potential ninja. Get shirts that are at least larges for adults, teens and preteens, and children's mediums for kids under 10. While the traditional ninja color is black, consider making colored masks for a little more pizazz. The color of the shirt will be the color of the mask.

1
Put your head through the bottom of the t-shirt as you would if you were getting dressed, but stop when you get to the hole for the head. Instead of pulling your head through, just put your face in the hole so you can see out. Do not put your arms in the sleeves.

2
Grab the right sleeve in your right hand and the left sleeve in your left hand. Pull both sleeves behind your head. Tie them in an overhand knot, getting an assistant to help you if needed. If you don't like how far down the sleeves hang, ask your assistant to cut them with the pinking shears. Make sure your knot is tight.

Grab the collar of your shirt, which should be sitting on your forehead, and pull it down until it meets your eyebrows. Then grab the bottom seam of the shirt, which should be sitting at mid-chest level, and pull it over your nose. Now only your eyes will be exposed. Look in the mirror and draw a marker line directly in front of your mouth. Cut a slit here with the scissors so you can breathe.

Throw any remaining fabric over your shoulder so it flows down your back, or tuck it into another shirt you're wearing.

Tips & Warnings
Use a cotton/Lycra shirt to make your mask extra stretchy and easier to form fit to your head. Find pants and a top that are the same color as your ninja mask to complete your ninja disguise. You don't have to remake your ninja mask each time you want to wear it. Simply pull it off over your head without untying it. Then slip it back on the same way. If all you have is a printed t-shirt, turn it inside out.
Don't let kids cut their own mouth holes. They could cut themselves or not allow adequate breathing room.
