With the increased focus on security in today's Internet environment, many times the latest version of browsers or security software will disable Javascript and make common websites such as MySpace and YouTube appear to be broken. The common error displayed to the end-user is that they have Javascript turned off or are using an outdated version of the Adobe or Macromedia Flash Player.

Instructions

1. 

   Address the potential issue with Javascript being turned off before downloading any new flash player products from Adobe. For Internet Explorer, select the following menu options: Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Internet Zone -> Custom Level and scroll down the menu options. Ensure that Active Scripting or Javascript (depending on your version of Internet Explorer) is checked enabled. For the Mozilla Firefox browser, the configuration is similar. Select Tools -> Options -> Content -> Enable Javascript.

2. Restart your web browser and re-load the content that would not work previously.

3. If the content will still not work, download the Adobe Flash uninstaller and run the installation program.

4. After uninstalling the Flash Player, download the latest Adobe Flash Player.

5. Re-load the desired content and view in your web browser.
