If you're looking to create a website with changing photographs, there are several resources online that can be used. However, for the html code novice, the job is not hard either. Having changing photographs on your website can save space and prevent a cluttered look.

  1. Step 1

Consider the option of using Dynamic Hypertext Markup. At Dynamic Drive.com, users can find a wide-range of options in considering what format to use. Dynamic Drive offers the following styles: Flexi, MultiFrame, Preloaded, Translucent, Pixelating, Ultimate Fade-in slide, Presentational, Drop-in image, Up-down Image, Left-right Image Slideshow, Conveyor Belt, Carousel, Book Flip, Swiss Army Image, and Blending Image Slideshow.
The site is well categorized with a demo feature to show you what the end result will be once everything is done. These codes are broken down with instructions on where to put them in your webpage html editor.
As a side note, users should be very careful when using these codes because if one character is out of place, most of these slideshows will not work. Also look for the instructions, which are most of the time embedded in the code you choose.

  2. Step 2

Look for online resources. If you look hard enough, you can find a good number of options online that make creating a webpage with changing photographs easy. One of these sites is Slideroll. At Slideroll.com, users can create their slideshows online and publish them on the Web. These slideshows, unlike DHTML, are in Flash, so you're getting less work, but more features. Once your photos are uploaded, you can drag and drop them in the order you want them to appear, followed with the options for effects, music, and other features.
Another website that can be used is Smilebox.com, which requires users to download an application to their computer to create slideshows with various effects. Users can also upload music of their choice. Another option online to consider is Picture Trail.com This site gives an assortment of options and styles from animated backgrounds with glitter to fancy transitions and changing photographs that can be presented in varying shapes on the webpage.

  3. Step 3

Look for free sites that don't require membership. For those looking to put together a slideshow, but would rather do it without having to join a website, Ricocheting.com provides a slideshow generator that is user friendly and to the point. Once at the site, scroll down to the generator where you will see a block for "Autoplay delay" and "Slideshow Title." Autoplay delay is simply the timeframe in which you want your photos to change (ex. Every five seconds, etc...). Type in that information and proceed to the next set of blocks that require you to type in the Web addresses to where the images are located (you cannot upload them) or the "Slide Text Description" as they call it. Once you've typed in the number of photos you want, scroll down and you will see another box that gives you the option to copy the code. Hit "Generate" first to create the code. Next, click on to "Preview." At that point another window will pop up showing your slideshow. You also have the option to reset the entire program and start over.
