How to Use Lipodrene

Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration upheld its decision to ban ephedrine alkaloids in August 2006 (see Resources), the weight-loss supplement Lipodrene is sold online in formulations that contain ephedra extract. Ephedra is a strong stimulant that, although it can increase your metabalism, can cause such life-threating complications as stroke or heart attack (see Warnings). Other ingrediants in Lipodrene (caffeine, citrus aurantium and phenylethylamine) have stimulant properties that can be hard for some people to handle.

Instructions

    • 1

Consult with a health care professional before taking Lipodrene. Individuals with chronic health conditions, who have recently had surgery or an illness, women who are pregnant or breast feeding, and people who need to avoid caffeine are not candidates for the weight-loss pill. Review with your doctor any prescription or over-the-counter drugs you're taking, as well as herbs and natural supplements, to see if their ingredients will react badly when combined with Lipodrene.

    • 2

Begin with a small dosage. The maximum amount of Lipodrene you should take per day is four pills. If you are sensitive to caffeine, start with one pill after breakfast the first day. Monitor how you feel for a few days. Stay with one pill for a while if you feel relatively OK. If you feel fine, start taking a second pill after lunch. It's better to stick with the lowest dosage that you need, than pushing your body to absorb the maximum every day.

    • 3

Start the regimen on a weekend. Your body might need a few days to get used to Lipodrene. Taking it while you have time off from work gives you the chance to rest if you're feeling dizzy or have a headache.

    • 4

Avoid caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee and soda. Lipodrene contains caffeine, along with citrus aurantium and phenylethylamine, which, according to the Fat Burner Reference website (see Resources), act similar to amphetamines. In laymen's terms, Lipodrene contains plenty of stimulants. Drinking caffeine with it can make you jittery, irritable or lightheaded.

    • 5

Follow the recommended dosage guidelines on the bottle. Do not exceed four pills per day. The stimulants that Lipodrene contains can make you sick or make your heart race if you abuse the supplement.

    • 6

Take the first dose after breakfast each morning. A substantial breakfast can minimize side effects that could be harsher if you take Lipodrene on an empty stomach. Healthy carbohydrates like whole-drain cereals, toast, pancakes and waffles are good for absorbing supplements.

    • 7

Take the second pill for the day by 4 p.m. Some users on Nicemuscle.com (see Resources) have reported that Lipodrene caused sleeplessness or difficulty falling asleep. Proper rest is necessary for your general health as well as weight loss.

    • 8

Exercise. Hundreds of companies have promised miracle pills that will make you lose weight without exercise, but none have proved to be a permanent solution. Daily exercise is ideal for long-term health. If you can't work out every day, make it a goal to exercise at a moderate pace three times per week, and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts.

    • 9

Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Pairing good nutrition and exercise together remain the key ways to maintain a healthy body weight. Avoid excessively eating junk foods and ones that are fried or high in carbohydrates, salt, sugar and fat.

    • 10

Eat three meals per day. Have a healthy snack between breakfast and lunch and another one between lunch and dinner. Lipodrene is supposed to suppress your appetite, but you still must eat, even if it's a smaller portion that what you usually consume. Skipping meals can inhibit your weight loss, as your metabolism will slow down to conserve calories if your body thinks it's starving.

    • 11

Drink eight to 10 glasses of water per day. Water is essential for hydration, another crucial element to weight loss. It also flushes your system of toxins. Keeping your body cleansed while taking Lipodrene is a good idea since it can assist in reducing the side effects of stimulant buildup.

    • 12

Discontinue Lipodrene if you experience side effects that are severe or make you uncomfortable. These include, but aren't limited to, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, heart palpitations and high blood pressure. Several people who used Lipodrene posted on Nicemuscle.com that they experienced moderate to severe hair loss.

Tips & Warnings

  • The U.S. Federal Trade Commission issued a warning regarding ephedra extract that said exceeding the recommended dosage could cause a heart attack, a stroke, a seizure or even death. People with heart or thyroid disease, hypertension, diabetes, glaucoma, that are prone to headaches, suffer prostrate enlargement, or have a history of seizures or a history of depression or other psychiatric condition (or if these conditions run in the family) should consult a with a doctor before taking anything with ephedra.
