      With your hook, make a chain consisting of 120 stitches or chain links.
      Working from the 5th stitch from hook, make a single stitch and in each chain across to the end, chain 3 and turn.
      You will have 115 stitches.

      Make a double crochet in each stitch across, chain 3 and turn.

      Repeat step 2 until the afghan reaches approximately 4 feet. Tie your thread off.
      Try to keep your stitches even so the afghan will not pull in one direction.
