Select tablecloths for each table at the wedding reception venue. Linen rental companies generally carry tablecloths and coverings in a variety of materials, patterns, textures and colors. Table coverings can be a basic solid color to work as a backdrop for the rest of the wedding table decorations or can be a brighter color with an intricate texture to be a part of the table décor itself.

Choose coordinating napkins to be placed at each place setting. Linen rental companies frequently have napkins to coordinate with each of their available table coverings. Select napkins in the same color as the table coverings for monochromatic color schemes or in contrasting colors to add a pop of color to the table. Use colorful or interesting napkin rings to add an interesting element to the table decorations.

Incorporate the dinnerware into the wedding table decorations. For a seated dinner, dinnerware can be at each place setting before guests arrive. Make sure flower arrangements are less than 14 inches high or taller than 20 inches so that guests can see each other across the table. When using candles as part of wedding table decorations, use only unscented candles.
