How to Install a Memory Card in a Blackberry Pearl
If you would like to install more ring tones, and store more pictures and applications on your Blackberry Pearl, installing additional MicroSD memory is quick and easy. As of 2009, there are two major styles of Blackberry Pearl: the candy bar-shaped 8100 series, and the clam shell 8200 series. Both have easily-accessible expansion ports.

Tips & Warnings
Do not force the card or hatches. If gentle pressure is insufficient, remove the card and double-check the alignment.
On Blackberry 8100 models, the MicroSD card must be fully inserted into the hatch before it can be closed. Closing the hatch with a partially-inserted card may irreparably damage the media card. Any existing data on a MicroSD card will be erased during formatting. Make sure to back up important data before inserting the card for the first time.
