Any discrepancies on your application can lead to a revocation of your appointment. Once it is completed, submit the application with a $45 application fee to the Treasurer of Virginia.

Wait to receive your notice of approval from the Virginia Secretary of the Commonwealth. Within 3 weeks of the submission of the application, you will receive your approval letter. This is essential to proceeding with your appointment as a notary public in Virginia. Along with the approval letter, you will receive instructions to complete your appointment.
