How to Apply Angelina Jolie Red Carpet Makeup

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are always one of the most popular couples on the red carpet.

Angelina Jolie is a popular actress who has captured Hollywood's attention with her incredible acting skills and drop dead gorgeous looks. Miss Jolie has been romantically linked to popular actors such as Billy Bob Thornton and currently, Brad Pitt. Angelina isn't merely limited to the Hollywood scene. She travels to different countries such as Africa to perform charity work and was even named a Goodwill Ambassador for The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Angelina is frequently the center of attention when she walks the red carpet. With the right technique and tools, her sexy yet classic style can be easily replicated.

Instructions

1. Prep your skin. Prior to applying makeup, it is important to cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin. Doing this will encourage flawless makeup application and prevent breakouts. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and towel-dry it. Dampen a cotton ball with toner and apply the toner to your freshly cleansed face. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer. Allow skin at least 10 minutes to absorb the moisturizer before proceeding.

2. Apply foundation. Once your face has been prepped, it's time to create the perfect canvas. Foundation will help you get the same flawless skin that Angelina always displays on the red carpet. Apply dots of foundation onto your forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. Use your fingers, a damp makeup sponge or a foundation brush to blend the foundation into your skin. Blend the foundation into your neck to avoid a mask-like effect.

3. Cover up blemishes or imperfections. While foundation does do wonders for your skin, it doesn't always cover up everything that you need it to. Blemishes and dark under-eye circles are features that many individuals strive to cover up. Concealer can help you accomplish that. Put a small dab of concealer underneath your eyes and onto any blemishes. Angelina herself periodically struggles with those pesky under-eye circles too. Use your ring finger to blend the concealer into your skin. Once everything is covered up, apply a light layer of powder onto your face.

4. Get the glow. Whenever you see Angelina on the carpet, her skin always has a vibrant glow. This can be accomplished using a highlighter, bronzer and blush. Apply a light layer of bronzer over your entire face, focusing on the areas that naturally attract sun, such as your nose and cheeks. Look in the mirror and smile. Locate the apples of your cheeks and apply blush to them. Once the blush has been applied, it's time to highlight those cheekbones. Locate your cheekbones and apply a light layer of highlighter over them. This will make them pop.

5. Create the eyes. Angelina's eye makeup always exudes a simple elegance. This is accomplished by using neutral eye shadows, bold eyeliner and dramatic mascara. Choose a medium brown eye shadow and a nude eye shadow that nearly matches your skin. Apply the nude eye shadow as a wash over your eyelid. Apply a light layer of the medium brown eye shadow in the outer crease of your eyelid. Use a blending brush to blend the shadows together and soften the look. Once your shadow is complete, line your top eyelid with liquid eyeliner. Finish up with several coats of mascara to add length, volume and definition. 6. Create the pout. Angelina tends to stick with nude lipsticks and lip glosses that don't overpower her full lips. Line your lips with a nude lip liner. Blend the lip liner into your lips to avoid any harsh lines. Use a lip brush to apply a nude lipstick such as MAC Cosmetic's Blankety. Tips & Warnings

• Since everyone isn't born with luscious lips like Miss Jolie, fake it. For a slightly exaggerated lip, line your lips with liner slightly outside the lip line. This will produce a pouty effect and will make your lips look slightly larger then they actually are.
