Using your complementary color yarn, crochet 49 chains to make flowers for your hat. Make one single crochet in the fourth chain from your hook, * make two chains and skip two chains; make one single crochet in the next chain. * Repeat to the end; make one chain and turn your work from right to left. Make three single crochet in the next space four times for row two; four double crochet in the next space three times; five double crochet in the next space twice and four triple crochet in the next space twice; four double-triple crochet in the next space; five double-triple crochet in the next space twice and three double-triple crochet in the last space.

Step 10
With the right side facing you and starting at the beginning of row two, roll up your work and sew together through your foundation chain to form a rose. Using your green yarn scrap, crochet 11 chains and one single crochet in the second chain from your hook; crochet one single crochet and one half double crochet, three double crochet, one half double crochet, two single crochet and three single crochet in the last chain. Repeat this process on the opposite side of your foundation chain until the end, join with a slip stitch and fasten off. Weave in all yarn ends neatly using your yarn needle and clip the excess.
