Instructions

1. Locate the USB port on your computer.

2. Insert the USB memory stick into the port. Most memory sticks are "plug and play," meaning that the software to make them ready for use on your computer is preloaded onto the stick itself. It will load this software, and your computer will tell you that your USB device is ready for use.

3. Open the window containing the files you want to copy to the USB drive. Right-click on the file and select the option "Save to __ drive" where the ___ represents the drive of your USB. It will not be A:, C:, D: or E:; it should be a higher letter.

4. Remove the USB memory stick after the file has saved to the storage device. It is now ready to be opened on another computer.
