How to Create Address Labels Online

Address labels assist you in sending mail or packages more efficiently. You can print out several pages at one time so you always have them ready. If you do not own a word-processing program for your computer, you can create address labels online. These are completely free. It will take approximately 10 minutes to create and print your labels. You will be able to repeat the process as many times as you would like. Online address labels are effective for either home or business use.       Go to the Label Maker website. Under the "Detail" title, you have a choice of shipping or return labels. The shipping address labels come with six per page, while the return address labels have 30 per page.

      Click on the "Avery 5160 Address Label" link. This will direct you to another page. Choose the style you wish to use. You can make one label or several. You can also choose to create each address label with different text.

      Click on the "All The Same" link. A generator will appear. Change the font, color and size. You can also decide on centered or to-the-left text. Unfortunately, the Label Maker website does not offer a color chart. However, you can locate a web color chart quickly. Just enter the six letters or number of the color of your choice from the chart.

      Input the shipping or return address in the "Label Text Box". Remember to type in the address as you would when writing it down. For example, press enter after the name and address.

      Press the "Generate" button. A PDF file will appear. You will need Adobe Reader to view the PDF file. View the address labels. If you wish to change any of the options, press the back button and follow steps 3 and 4 again.

      Print your address labels. On the top of the PDF file, click on the printer icon. Choose the correct printer device and decide on how many copies you want to print. Once you have the correct settings, click "OK".

      Save the document to your computer. Press the disk icon on the top of the page. Select a folder then click "Save".
