How to Find Yamaha Replacement Drum Parts
Many, if not most, drum parts are universal. Drum hoops, screws, wing nuts and other small parts tend to be similar or identical while lugs usually vary from brand to brand. Use your best discretion to determine if your replacement part is a Yamaha exclusive or a standard drum part.
Begin your search for parts at the local usic shop. Local music store employees are a useful resource and can provide a level of attention and experience that the online retailers can't. If they don't have the part you need, they can often steer you in the right place and are full of information.
If your local shop doesn't have the parts you need, try a search on eBay.com, the Internet's largest auction house. If that fails, try Craigslist or MusiciansFriend.com, Samash.com, Sweetwater.com or any of the host of other major online instrument retailers. Contacting manufacturers for small parts is often the most expensive and least efficient avenue, so contact Yamaha as a last resort.
